Wow, I really have been avoiding writing on my blog. It's now 2009 and 2008 is behind me. A friend of mine once said, you gotta look at the new year as a time when you thought a lot about the good and bad, but now its time to start a new. I think I'm taking that advice the best I can.
Tomorrow I start back up for the Spring Semester at Rutgers. I'm excited about it and worried...same old feelings! I took a winter class, World Masterpieces, the professor still hasn't posted final grades, but from the looks of the tests and quizzes I should be good with a B or an A.
My last semester did go well, I ended up with a 3.75 GPA. Very Happy with that. But there is MORE to be done. Grades are only ONE part of the battle of College and Life. I do take pride in my education. Some people say "Oh you went to college what did YOU really learn." Which is probably the hardest question to learn. But I know a few things I learned. I've learned to hope, work hard, be curious, try things, figure out how to get what I want, and most of all DREAM. I feel a lot of people give up! you gotta dream man! this is life!!!!! we are a closer world now and there is a lot of opportunity. Even with this society I live in, the USA, there's a lot of opportunity.
So I respect those who decided not to go to college, but in return I ask for their respect for doing it differently. You've got to have some skill to offer the world, even if its working a forklift.
This coming semester I'm taking a few hard classes. Financial Accounting (which I'm excited for), Organization Behavior(which I'm nervous for), Stats 1 (nervous for), Music History IV(excited for), and Management Information Systems(At ease for). I'm hoping for a good semester and to put in a lot of hard work. I'm ready to go head on!!!!!!!
To change the subject, the snow has begun to fall in New Jersey. I hate on the cold quite a bit, however, I do indeed enjoy it from time to time. It's nice to say I do not need to travel to feel warm, or to see snow, change of color in leaves, etc. I just need a bit of patience.
With the winter in full swing the music in my head changes with it. It's one of those challenges within; with deciding where to place music in your heard. Of course they're those universal records (Spring,Summer,Fall,Winter), but then again there are those seasonal ones too!
I've been compiling my Winter List in my head.
Here's where I am right now (not too much)
Neil Young- After the Goldrush
Ben Harper- Will to live, Live from Mars
Radiohead- In Rainbows
Fleet Foxes- Fleet Foxes (could end up being universal tho)
That's all I've got going on right now for the winter.
Best Wishes for tomorrow!
